The Story Behind The Design - Sustainable Bamboo Socks | Ready Freddie
Freddie Mercury's Journey to a Happy and Joyful Life
Freddie Mercury was a two-year-old Chihuahua mix with an overbite who suffered two broken legs in an accident as a puppy that never healed due to the negligence of her original owner. She was also born with an epiglottis, a leaf-shaped flap in the throat that prevents food from entering the windpipe and the lungs.
In December 2018, Freddie was found abandoned in a duffle bag under a cat. Fortunately, she was adopted by Angela Adan, 31, from Los Angeles, California. Angela quickly noticed Freddie's unusual looks and began to post pictures of her on social media, resulting in her quickly becoming a social media sensation and garnering more than 300,000 followers.
Despite Freddie's numerous health issues, Angela devoted her life to caring for her. She slow-fed Freddie every day to prevent choking, stretched her out every day to prevent her shoulder muscles from becoming too tight, and kept a close eye on her health.
Freddie loved food, soft blankets, cuddling, and bouncing around on beds. She was a very cheerful pooch who didn't let her misfortune get in the way of her happiness. She inspired people everywhere to just be themselves and not let a hard past phase them. She will be dearly missed, but you can keep her message and memory alive every day by spreading her love and story.
You can also purchase items in her name from the shop. Twenty percent of all purchases from the shop go directly to Angela to continue her mission to save dogs in need, just like Freddie.

The Sticker That Started It All
Vanity was my soul dog and her memory lives on in every thing I do here. What started as grief turned into a fundraiser and has become the shop you see today.
