Photo Tips for Paw-fection

Clear, well-lit photos are the best! Just like I can't resist a good belly rub, I can't draw what I can't see. Multiple photos welcome - I know you have them!

So if you want the head tilt of photo one, but the body position of photo 2, upload them both and let me know which you want of each and i'll make the magic happen!

Have a specific pose in mind but no photo? I can create custom positions for an additional fee
Remember: I can only draw what I can see - those blurry action shots of them chasing squirrels won't work (no matter how cute they are! My interpretation of a blury photo will be different than what your pet actually looks like to you so clear photos only)

Q: "How many photos can I send?"
A: Send as many as you think we need! But remember:

Quality over quantity

Clear, well-lit shots are essential

Show those unique features we need to capture

Skip the blurry action shots (I know they're adorable, but I need to see the details!

Q: How long until I can show off my pet’s pattern?
A: Magic takes a minute (or two)! Most orders take 2–4 weeks from start to finish; fully custom/bespoke projects are often 2–4 weeks for proofs, 4-6 weeks for final products

How the timing works

• Art creation: 1–2 weeks from your photos.
• Production & shipping: starts after you approve the sketch. Timing then depends on the items you choose (see our Lead-Time Guide).

  Pro tip: Planning an event? Order early. Everything’s hand-drawn with care, so give your pet the spotlight they deserve. (Rush may be possible; ask if you’re on a tight deadline.)

Q: "Can I request changes to my pattern?"
A: Absolutely! Each package includes a set number of previews and edits because we want it to be perfect! Need more tweaks? No problem - additional edit rounds are available for purchase. Because sometimes perfection takes a few tries!

Q: "Do you really draw ANY type of pet?"
A: YES! From dogs and cats to emus (true story!) - if you love them, I'll draw them! Scales, feathers, fur, or fins - every pet deserves to be a pattern star! ✨

Q: “Once I buy my pattern, how many times can I use it?”

A: Your pattern is yours to enjoy for a lifetime—here’s how it works:

Option 1: Use it in our shop

• Print your design on as many items as you’d like, anytime.
• Create new patterns using your pet’s original drawing.
• No need to pay for the same pet drawing again unless you want a new pose.

Option 2: Purchase the digital file

• Since my artwork is priced with the intention that it’s printed through my shop, there’s an additional fee to purchase the digital file.
• This protects my rights as the artist and the value of my work.
• You’re welcome to buy the file for personal use, or for marketing/product licensing (special licenses and art fees apply).
